About Tots Learning Through Play
TLTP welcomes any mother/child who has the time and desire to regularly attend a playgroup and holds an interest in allowing education into playtime in fun and unique ways. We are a co-op of moms working together with our children.
Each month we have playdates themed around a letters of the alphabet and the seasons
We go on educational visits/tours to places such as the museum, the zoo, the Nature Center etc... We try to plan a little bit of lesson with each visit as well as letting them have free play time.
We schedule arts and crafts playdates, many centering on a preschool curriculum. These will usually be at a members home and follow a theme or coincide with the seasons/Holidays.
We will often meet for storytime at one of the local libraries or bookstores. These events present an opportunity for parents and children to come together, interact, plan and do activities/projects.
We will always squeeze good old fashion play inbetween our learning playdates. Parks, pools, splash areas and playscapes. This is not only for our kids to enjoy playing with each other but to allow their creative imaginations become a reality.
