Family Friends sponsors playgroups, social activities, and more for young families looking to connect with others in central New Jersey. It started in 1984 and remains a non-profit, non-sectarian, volunteer-run organization. Members commit to volunteering for 2 activities per year.
Playgroups are geared for babies through pre-school aged children. Parents enjoy our playgroups as much as their kids, as they can enjoy some adult conversation while the children play. We have a regular schedule of adult-only social activities as well.
From June through August, we meet at a Metuchen park on Mondays and take day trips on Wednesdays.
From September through May, our weekly parent-child playgroups are held in indoors in Metuchen. Activities at our Monday playgroup include music appreciation, crafts, parachute play, and snack time. Our Wednesday sessions are generally free play.
Please note that most of our members are not on Meetup, so the number of RSVPs doesn't reflect the number of people that attend - usually 10-15 families.

FF meets outside for the months of June, July and August to help save on rent and enjoy some more excercise. Please email familyfriendsinc@yahoo.com to find out where we will be on a specific day.
