Is This a Phase?
Child Development & Parent Strategies, Birth to 6 Years
by Helen F. Neville, B.S., R.N.

W-O-R-R-Y! Is that all new parents do? If that's how you feel, you'll want to spend some time with Helen Fowler Neville. As a pediatric nurse and parent educator, she's answered thousands of questions about everything from colic and crawling to tantrums, teething, and toilet training. Now she's compiled her answers in an easy-to-read guide, Is This a Phase? Child Development & Parent Strategies, Birth to 6 Years. Praised by Library Journal, which recommends it for all public libraries, Is This a Phase? provides so much concise advice it's sure to be a valuable reference in homes, child care centers and preschools.

    •  Excellent and knowledgeable speaker. I really enjoyed listening to her. It was a little hard to hear her speak but I am sure that was because of all the kids and there isn't much you can do about that. I thought for sure there would be a lot more people listening to her, but it seemed like alot of people no-showed. She was a very sweet person and I am glad I came. It was my first visit to Tot-spot and my daughter had a lot of fun.

She had some interesting things to say, but focused more on what the book said rather than a general talk about parenting strategies which is what I expected. She was great about answering questions though. I bought her books and am looking forward to reading her thoughts and strategies.
