Hi Erinn,
Depending on where you live and how far you are willing to drive for preschool...there are a few off of Highway 68 (toward Salinas) that are excellent. Shoreline preschool, Church of the Good Shepard, Ryan Ranch and Cypress Community Church (they just opened their preschool this year).

Hi Erin
My son goes to Mothers Morning Out Preschool in Monterey (part of the 1st Presbertyrian church) we love it. I also hear that Serendipity in Monterey is good.
Good luck -

I currently have my son on the waiting list for Mother's Morning Out in Monterey. The waiting list is long, so I recommend getting over there ASAP if you're interested. I also looked at Teddy Bear (right next to NPS), which I liked, but it's much more expensive.

I see that this is an old message, but I really want to get Isa (turned 3 on 9-11) in to preschool when we get there in Nov sometime and was wondering if anyone esles children are in Preschool and was it hard to get in. Meaning hard to get in as if there was a lot of people trying to get into.
And is there any you recommend so I can get her on the waiting list.
Thanks :)

My son goes to Tiny Tot University. It's through the City of Seaside at the Oldemeyer Center. They have two groups: 3yrs old go on Tues/Thurs 9-12 and 4yrs old go M/W/F 9-12. Its only about $50-90 per month, depending on how many school days are in the month. They just have to be potty-trained and you may have to be on a waiting list but it shouldn't be too long, esp. with the military families moving. A quarter ends in December so you might be able to get in pretty soon.

Ethan goes to the CCLC at the Presidio of Monterey. He loves it and so do I. They have part time and full time programs. The center inside the Military base but caters military and non-military families. What I find interesting and exciting about the center is the multinationality and diversity it embraces. I would say 50% of the children in the center are bilingual (italian, german, swedish, chinese, korean just to name a few). As far as I know they don't have a waiting list...check it out. http://www.cclc.com/c...
