Here are a few Frequently Asked Questions that may answer some of your questions. If you have other a question not addressed here, please feel free to ask any of the organizers or post it on the message board.

Do I have to attend every event?
Definitely not. We have a busy calendar to give our members many choices. Attend whatever works best with your family's schedule.

How do I rsvp for an event?
Review the event details and unless noted, count your child/ren as guests (+1, +2, etc.). Also include details such as chidlren's ages, spouses name if attending, etc. This gives everyone a chance to plan ahead and know who is attending an event. Some events may ask you not to include children as guests - this is why reviewing the event details is important.

Why can't I rsvp maybe?
Many of our events have limited attendance. We'd prefer to have people sign up who can definitely attend rather than take a spot and not come. If your plans have changed, please update your RSVP accordingly.

I'd like to host an event at my house and/or I have a great event suggestion. Who do I talk to?

We love when our members offer to host events or have suggestions for events! Please contact the event's organizer or Aimee.

Why aren't email announcements sent out for all events?
In an effort to not overwhelm your inbox, organizers only send out announcements for events with attendance limits. These announcments are sent Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays so all members have an equal opportunity to sign up for events. E-mails are also sent out to announce events scheduled for the current month if the monthly newsletter has already been published.

I really want to attend an event but it's full. Now what?
Sometimes we have to limit the number attending because of the venue's space restrictions. (This happens more frequently in the colder weather when we are indoors.) If an event is full, please rsvp 'no' with a comment that you want to be put on the waiting list. Many times as an event nears, spaces will open and those on the waiting list will have the opportunity to attend. When a space opens up, the event's organizer will change the first 'waiting list' RSVP to a 'yes'. The waiting list works on a first come, first serve basis.

Why do I get an email after an event asking me to fill out a survey?
After any event that you rsvp 'yes' to, you receive an email asking you to fill out a survey. Please take the time to fill it out and include any comments (positive or negative) as it helps the organizer team to plan better future events.

I'm having family issues now and can't make it to any events during the two month attendance period. I really want to stay in the group. Will I be removed?
Please contact an organizer to discuss your situation. The attendance guidelines were implemented to keep our group active, however we understand that something may come up. The organizers will review each situation on a case by case basis.

What do the age limits really mean?
We have a wide range of ages in our playgroup. In an effort to provide events that are geared for the children's development, we offer age specific playdates. The activities, toys and snacks are geared for that specific age. Our age specific playdates are:
0-12 months - Baby Talk
13-24 months - Tiny Tots
2-3 year olds - Toddler Time
3 years and up - Big Kids

Can I bring an older/younger sibling to an age specific playdate?
Yes. Siblings are always welcome!

My child is not in the appropriate age range, but I really want to attend a certain age-specific event. May I?
Unless other ages are specifically invited to the playdate, no. We ask that members attend the playdates geared toward their child's specific age.
