About The Columbus Area Parents Meetup

Columbus Area Parents Meetup was launched as a way to get parents in the Columbus area together for fun activities. If you're looking to have some fun and would enjoy activities with AND without the munchkins from time to time then this is the group for you!

We are a group here to support each other through the trials of parenthood. Whether you are feeling frazzled from your colicky baby, in the midst of the tumultuous toilet training, or just someone who feels isolated from the rest of the civilized world - we want to meet you.

For membership, we require that you post a picture in your member profile. This is required for two reasons: 1) it is easier to locate people at meetups and 2) for safety and security.

Speaking of safety and security, we have made this group private. We do this for your safety as well as our safety and the safety of our children. Before memberships are approved, we like to meet with the new members at one of our playdates. This way it gives you an opportunity to meet us and vice versa. Please note that you must attend an event within two weeks of applying to the group. If you do not, it will be assumed you are no longer interested and your name will be removed from the pending members list.

All members are encouraged to set up play dates and group events. We ask that members RSVP for group events and participate actively on the group message boards. By not participating, members are considered inactive and will be removed from the group.
