I noticed that there are several groups but there is not a group for women of color that have a support group that have children and are married. I fit in that catergory and I thought it is important for all parents especially women of color to have a support group.

Women should join this meetup to Network with new parents and discussing life experiences with juggling being a wife/single and a working mother, giving parenting tips, and just "letting your hair down." Come gather with us for play dates, day trips, activities, picinics, and mom's night out. Also cultural activities that will be kid friendly.

I am a fairly new mother, I have a 19 month old daughter, and I have been married for 5 years. I enjoy meeting new people and learning new life experiences. I want this meetup to be filled with not just only married women but single women too that have children. It is hard being a wife and a mother, but it is even harder being a single parent. I have a lot to gain from this meetup and I can't wait to meet everyone. I believe there is a lot to learn from this meetup regarding being a mother and any parenting tips.

Okay ladies,

I haven't really heard from several of the women in the group. This will be the last meetup if no one RSVP or show up. The meetup will be in the park at Freedom Park at 4:30PM instead of 2:30pm because several mothers can not get off from work that early and several infants/toddlers do not wake up from their nap until around that time. I will be in the second large parking lot as you enter off of East Blvd. Read more

What members are saying

Others should join the group because it's an excellent way to establish a support system for new and not-so-new moms.

Others should join the group if they are looking for a positve group of women to be around.

As I get settled in Charlotte, I am excited about finding and sharing resources that educate and entertain.
