My name is Teresa. I am a mother of a daughter born on July 12, 2007.

I've recently taken over as organizer for this meetup because I would like to do what I can to keep this group alive. The only way to keep this group alive is to schedule as many meetups as possible. Unfortunately I am back to work at a demanding job and cannot attend meetups during weekdays so I'd like to recruit assistant organizers to get as many meetups going as possible.

Lets also take advantage of the message board feature and get as many discussions as possible going. I'd ask that you activate your daily message notification - we can't be effective in meetings member's needs if we don't know there is a request out there.

Please take a moment to update your profile so that we know where in the city everyone is and please actively look at the messages and polls and respond accordingly. We'd like to make this group good for everyone. Also, please RSVP to each of the events whether you can make it or not and why so that we can adjust accordingly.


1) What is www.meetup.com?
A - It is an international forum that creates "meetup" groups all over the globe so that people with like interests can get together to discuss and share. Groups are run by volunteer organizers.

2) Why is there a fee for www.meetup.com?
A - there is a $72 per 6 month fee to keep this group going. Currently this fee has been shared by 3 members committed to keeping the site going. Contributions towards the memberships costs are appreciated - that will help keep this meetup group alive.

3) Will I be receiving promotional emails or spam through the mailing list?
A - You will receive emails from me or other assistant organizers but we have a policy of keeping spam out of your inbox.

4) What do I, as organizer, get out of this?
A - Nothing but the pleasure of meeting other moms

5) Why aren't there events at more convenient times for me or more often or more variety?
A - Someone needs to organize meetups. I work during the day so am only available to organize weekend meetups

6) What can I do to make this group better?
A - Schedule meetups. Attend meetups. participate in discussions on the message board. Ask questions. Provide other moms with the answers they're looking for. Recommend products you love. Post a review on products/services you were unhappy with to warn other moms.
