A group for working Moms. This is a new group formed in October 2011.  We are working moms who live in the Manassas area. Our activities include play dates, outings, lunches and Mom only events. I have seen a lot of groups for new moms in their 20's and 30's, but not as many for new moms in their 40's so I decided to organize one for playtime and some mommy chat, maybe even get togethers with spouses/daddies as well.  Also, it is okay if you are not quite over 40, you can be close to, way passed, aspiring to get there some day (grin)...this is simply about meeting new people, making friends, having some laughs and enjoying time with the kiddos.

Stroller Strides® is a total fitness program that moms can do with their babies. It includes power walking and intervals of body toning using exercise tubing and the stroller. It is taught by a certified instructor (who is also a mom). It's a great workout for any level of exerciser. Classes are held from 9:30 to 10:30am Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Sportsplex in Winchester.

This group provides a great opportunity to meet new friends while giving your child a chance to play and socialize! We are currently looking for moms who are interested in being active members and participating regularly in meetups. Our calendar has a wide range of activities including visits to the park, lunch dates, play dates, storytimes, etc. and we also plan MNOs so working moms can join in on the fun. My name is Heather Paulding and I am a proud mother of two small boys. I have no girlfriends in the immediate area and I want to create a support network for other mothers like myself. We spend our time taking care of our children and our husbands. Very often we forget ourselves in the process. The first Friday of the month we will have a girls night out. This is for mom's only! Hand your children to a babysitter or your husband and take the night off!

My hope is to get a group of mom's and their kids and work together to contribute to our community and even abroad where it's needed, while teaching our children altruism, empathy and a sense that they can make a real difference in the world they live in.
